Server monitoring
Monitor Mac minis, Mac Studios and CI runners
Macs are increasingly racked as build servers and CI runners. The same install command used on Linux detects macOS and sets the agent up as a launchd daemon, reading data from sysctl, vm_stat, df and netstat.
What to monitor on macOS
- 01CPU usage and loadFind out when Xcode builds are saturating every core.
- 02MemoryActive, wired and compressed pages from vm_stat.
- 03DiskAPFS volumes fill quickly with DerivedData and simulators.
- 04NetworkPer-interface throughput.
