Moving off Nixstats?

Nixstats is being folded into WebPros’ 360 Monitoring. If you’d rather choose where your monitoring goes next, Statance gives you server metrics, uptime checks and alerts — with a one-command agent and a free plan.

Migration

Move in an afternoon

Run both side by side, compare, then switch off Nixstats when you’re ready.

Prefer to let an AI do the busywork? Connect Claude or Cursor to the Statance MCP server, paste your list of Nixstats monitors, and ask it to recreate them with create_monitor.

  1. Create a free Statance account

Your API key is on the dashboard right after sign-up.

  2. Install the agent on each server

One command on Linux and macOS. It runs happily next to nixstatsagent.

    curl -fsSL https://statance.com/install.sh | sudo bash -s -- YOUR_API_KEY
  3. Recreate your website monitors

In the dashboard, or in bulk with the API:

    curl -X POST https://api.statance.com/v1/monitors \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"name":"Website","type":"http","target":"https://example.com","interval_sec":60}'
  4. Set up recipients and alert rules

Add email, Slack, Discord, Telegram or PagerDuty, then rules like “CPU above 90% for 10 minutes”.

  5. Remove the Nixstats agent

    Once you’re happy with Statance:

sudo systemctl disable --now nixstatsagent && sudo pip3 uninstall -y nixstatsagent

Nixstats migration FAQ

What happened to Nixstats?

Nixstats was founded in 2016 and joined the WebPros Group (the company behind Plesk and cPanel) in March 2021. According to Plesk’s support FAQ, Nixstats is being integrated into WebPros’ 360 Monitoring product, and nixstats.com now redirects to the 360 Monitoring login.

Do I have to move to 360 Monitoring?

No. Plesk’s FAQ describes migrating to 360 Monitoring with a WebPros account, and says accounts that don’t complete the migration lose access. That’s a good moment to choose where your monitoring goes next — 360 Monitoring, Statance or anything else.

Can I run the Statance agent alongside the Nixstats agent?

Yes. They don’t conflict, so you can run both while you compare data, then remove the Nixstats agent when you’re happy.

Can I import my Nixstats history?

Not at the moment. Statance starts collecting from the moment the agent is installed. Export anything you need to keep from Nixstats before you close the account.

How long does migrating take?

Installing the agent takes about a minute per server, and it can be scripted with SSH, Ansible or cloud-init. Website monitors can be recreated in the dashboard or in bulk with the API.

Is Statance affiliated with Nixstats, Plesk or WebPros?

No. Statance is an independent monitoring service. Nixstats, Plesk, WebPros and 360 Monitoring are trademarks of their respective owners.
