Debian monitoring without the bloat
Debian users tend to care about what runs on their machines. The Statance agent is a single readable bash script with no daemons beyond one systemd unit, no package repositories and no compiled code.
What to monitor on Debian
- 01CPU, load and steal timeOn VPS hosts, high steal means a noisy neighbour is taking your CPU.
- 02Memory, buffers and swapSee real available memory rather than the misleading “free” number.
- 03DisksUsage per mount, including LVM and mdadm arrays.
- 04NetworkPer-interface throughput.
- 05ProcessesTop processes by CPU and memory, refreshed every minute.

Debian monitoring FAQ
Does it support Debian without systemd (sysvinit)?
The installer configures systemd. On sysvinit systems you can run /opt/statance-agent/statance-agent.sh from your own init script or a supervisor such as runit.
What data leaves my server?
Hostname, OS version, CPU model, metric values, mount points and the top processes by name. No file contents, environment variables or command-line secrets beyond process names and arguments.
Know before your users do.
Free forever for 3 servers and 10 monitors. No credit card. Install the agent in under a minute.
