Quickstart
Get your first server and website monitored with Statance in five minutes.
This guide gets a server reporting, a website monitored and an alert delivered in about five minutes.
1. Create an account
Sign up — the free plan covers 3 servers and 10 monitors. Your API key is shown on the dashboard and in Settings.
2. Install the agent
On Linux or macOS, as root:
The server appears on your dashboard within a minute. For Windows, Docker and Kubernetes see Agent.
3. Add a recipient
Go to Recipients and create one with your email address (and optionally a Slack, Discord or Telegram target). Click Test to confirm delivery.
4. Monitor a website
Go to Monitors → New monitor, choose HTTP, enter your URL and attach your recipient.
5. Add a server alert
Go to Alerts → New rule: “No connection to Statance” for 5 minutes on all servers is a good first rule. Then add CPU, memory and disk thresholds.
