CVE-2026-89293
Missing server-side authorization in Eclipse Mnestix Browser admin server actions allows unauthenticated configuration tampering
What happened?
In Eclipse Mnestix Browser versions 1.2.0 up until but excluding 2.3.0 it was possible for an unauthenticated attacker to perform actions that are only allowed to be executed by an authorized Mnestix user, like changing the Infrastructure settings or calling the connected and authenticated Mnestix AAS Generator backend.
Affected software and versions
| Software | Version information | Fixed version |
|---|---|---|
| Eclipse MnestixEclipse Foundation | affected: 1.2.0 to < 2.3.0 | See vendor advisory |
Version information comes from the source record and can include unaffected products and exceptions. Distribution packages may contain backported fixes: an older upstream version alone does not prove a server is affected.
Is it being exploited?
This CVE was not listed in the CISA catalogue at our last retrieval. This does not establish that exploitation is absent.
