CVE-2026-89111
OAuth2 SSRF vulnerability in SAP Cloud SDK for Python
What happened?
The SAP Cloud SDK for Python contains an OAuth2 SSRF vulnerability affecting multi-tenant BTP applications. An attacker who controls the tenant_subdomain parameter can redirect OAuth2 token requests to an attacker-controlled server, causing client credentials to be exfiltrated.
This vulnerability was originally fixed in 0.45.2. It was reintroduced in 0.53.0 when the HTTP client was refactored into a shared core module, and the tenant subdomain validation was not carried over to the new location. The validation was restored in 0.55.1.
Affected software and versions
| Software | Version information | Fixed version |
|---|---|---|
| SAP CloudSAP_SE | affected: sap-cloud-sdk < 0.45.2; affected: >=0.53.0 to < 0.55.1 | See vendor advisory |
Version information comes from the source record and can include unaffected products and exceptions. Distribution packages may contain backported fixes: an older upstream version alone does not prove a server is affected.
Is it being exploited?
This CVE was not listed in the CISA catalogue at our last retrieval. This does not establish that exploitation is absent.
How to respond
- Confirm the product, installed package version, and any configuration requirements in the vendor advisory.
- Follow the vendor’s remediation or workaround guidance in the references below. Structured fixed-version data is unavailable here; the publisher’s description may include a fix or workaround.
- Restart affected services if required, then verify the running version. Known exploitation may warrant investigation as well as patching.
