CVE-2026-59263
Apache OpenOffice: Carefully crafted documents could display different data when opened with different programs, instead of being reported as corrupt.
What happened?
A manipulated document opened in Apache OpenOffice 4.1.16 or earlier may allow substituted content to be displayed manipulating the user. Such documents are corrupt and should not be opened. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.1.17, which fixes this issue.
Affected software and versions
| Software | Version information | Fixed version |
|---|---|---|
| Apache OpenOfficeApache Software Foundation | affected: 0 to ≤ 4.1.16 | See vendor advisory |
Version information comes from the source record and can include unaffected products and exceptions. Distribution packages may contain backported fixes: an older upstream version alone does not prove a server is affected.
Is it being exploited?
This CVE was not listed in the CISA catalogue at our last retrieval. This does not establish that exploitation is absent.
